In this role, you will be an essential part of our company's supply chain operations, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of our high-quality packaging products. As a PCA truck driver, you will have the opportunity to work within a respected industry leader known for its commitment to excellence and sustainability. Safely operate PCA company vehicles, including large trucks and trailers, ensuring timely delivery of goods to predetermined destinations within set timeframes. Maintain communication with the central dispatch team to receive delivery instructions and provide updates on route progress. Perform vehicle inspections before and after each trip to ensure functionality and safety, reporting any concerns or maintenance needs promptly. Adhere to company safety policies, as well as all federal and state regulations regarding truck operation and transportation of goods. Handle loading and unloading of products, ensuring goods are secured properly to avoid damage. Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation, including logs, delivery tickets, and vehicle maintenance records. Participate in ongoing safety and operational training programs. Proficiency in driving large vehicles such as semitrucks and trailers. Strong organizational and time management skills. Good physical stamina and ability to handle prolonged periods of driving. Excellent navigational and route mapping skills. Ability to perform minor vehicle repairs and maintenance. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Additional certification in Transportation Safety highly regarded.
