Shift Info: -3/12-hour shifts; TBD days OVERNIGHT -Differential -Our compensation for this role depends on skillset, experience, licensure and typically falls between $16.30 -and $40.00 -plus -on-call pay and bonus.

• Veterinary Assistant: $16.30 - $26.00
• Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT): $24.00 - $35.00
• Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS): $31.00 - $40.00
  -Veterinary Specialty Hospital (VSH) is looking full-time Veterinary Technician to join our Critical -Care -team.About Veterinary Specialty Hospital: - -Our ECC department is committed to caring for veterinary trauma patients and is equipped to expertly manage all types of traumatic injuries in our state-of-the-art facility. Our ECC nursing staff are integral to providing this level of care, along with our 2 board-certified criticalist, and experienced ER clinicians. These resources allow for an environment of continual learning and advanced skill development for all the members of our ECC team at VSH.About the Job: - -As a Vet Tech in the Intensive -Care Unit (ICU), you will be responsible for:
  • Collecting samples, placing -IV catheters, preparing IV fluids and additives, obtaining arterial blood gas samples
  • Calculating and administering medication, fluid additives, CRI's -
  • Obtaining and reporting vitals, monitoring telemetry, monitoring oxygen-dependent patients
  • Placement and maintenance -of nasogastric tube, nasal cannula, central venous catheters
  • Must be able to prioritize patient hourly treatments -and delegate tasks. Triage critical patients, recognize changes in patient status and report to the doctor, educate/update owners on patient status, -and discharge patients from the hospital. - -About You:
    • A minimum of 2 -years of experience working in a veterinary hospital setting is required. 1 year of ECC experience is preferred. -
    • RVT or VACSP preferred
    • The ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and commitment to developing long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and the community is required.
