Currently, we are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Tech for our Aerospace department.

Position Purpose

Plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes in the Aerospace Manufacturing Department. Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards. Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow. Designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.

Essential Job Functions (primary Duties And Outputs Of Position)
Review rejected material/jobs. Investigate root cause of failure and plan rework instructions.
Maintain preventative maintenance (TPM) program
Setup and program manufacturing equipment. (i.e. laser etching machine)
Design/Develop new production tooling and production processes.
Analyze labor standards, efficiencies, and productivity.
Read and analyze charts, work orders, or production schedules to determine manufacturing requirements.
Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
May develop budgets, research vendors and collect bids for supplies, materials, and equipment on an as-needed basis.
Make recommendations for the purchase, modification, and/or repair of machinery or equipment in plant.

Safety
Follow safe work practices, participate in safety training as required, and report any unsafe condition or accident.

Quality
Employees are responsible to understand and support the quality policy and the appropriate elements of the quality management system for their areas of work, reduce, eliminate, and prevent quality deficiencies including escapes.
Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities related to product, process, and quality system.
All employees have the responsibility and authority to identify quality deficiencies, elevate any concerns for action within or related to our quality system and processes.

Communication
Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Maintain effective and constructive working relationships with others both internally and externally.

Education/Work Experience Requirements
Minimum 2-4 years in a Manufacturing environment
Engineering degree or equivalent is preferred, but not required.

Physical/Travel Requirements
This position requires bending, walking, standing, typing, and lifting a maximum of 50lbs.
