About This Role:
The Transportation Coordinator coordinates the process and
procedures for scheduling the transportation of shipments for
SiteOne, Amazon, Home Depot, Lowe's, Menards, Ace Hardware, and
Custom Manufacturing customers.
Demonstrates behavior that is consistent with the company's
values of Customer Satisfaction, Innovation, Family, and Social
Essential Job Functions/Tasks:
Coordinates the printing of all pick tickets and set up shipping
Coordinates the routing of all shipments and customer
Prepares all required documents for shipments such as bills of
lading, manifests, and any additional paperwork.
Coordinates pickup appointments with carriers.
Responds to transportation related inquires, by email and
Interacts with and communicates status of shipment to customer
service, carriers, shipping personnel and Transportation
- Administers customer requirements for Routing and Marking in
Customer TMS system.
Other Job Functions:
Performs other related tasks as assigned, some of which may
become essential to the position.

High School diploma.
Supply Chain courses related to Multi Modal services and
Hazardous Materials Course.
Must have experience with ERP systems (JD Edwards Enterprise One
Must have minimum of two years of experience in distribution and
shipping processes or related field.
Previous Experience coordinating Retail transportation
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's):
KSA #1: Must have good written and verbal communication skills
KSA #2: Must have effective interpersonal skills to coordinate
efforts and work with other departments.
KSA #3: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
KSA #4: Ability to work under minimal supervision, and to work
KSA #5: Must have telephone etiquette.
KSA #6: Analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective
course of action.
Finger dexterity sufficient to use a computer and to complete
Visual acuity sufficient to use a computer, perform
troubleshooting or problem solving activities and to complete
Inside warehouse with no temperature controls and concrete
Exposure to seasonal climate.
