SENIOR COST ACCOUNTANT

technology. We are currently seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to
join our Accounting team.
Under general direction of the Chief Financial Officer, the
Senior Cost Accountant will be responsible for the regular
recurring cost accounting, analyses and reporting work, but will
also focus on the development, automation and integration of the
Company?s manufacturing, order entry and accounting systems to
provide on-line visibility of inventory and cost of sales data,
improve product costing information, and eliminate rework and

FUNCTIONAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Cost accounting, including monthly closings and analysis of
results, testing systems to insure that those systems are properly
recording, rolling-up and reporting product costs, and closing
inventory and cost of sales on a monthly basis including the
preparation of inventory and product-line profitability
+ Analysis of bills of material, cost standards and routings,
and additionally analysis of material costs and cost trends, labor
costs, labor productivity and productivity trends, and excess &

evaluate current systems and processes to determine if there are
advanced alternatives that may be available to us to develop,
automate and/or integrate, including the integration of machines to

YOUR FIRST YEAR MAY LOOK LIKE THIS:
Within the first 3 months:
+ Completion of a monthly Cost Accounting closing.
+ Good understanding of existing accounting, order entry and
manufacturing processes & procedures, and Company?s databases and
SYTELINE application software.
+ Good understanding of the Company?s policies and accounting
issues, including the calculation of our inventory, net realizable
value and warranty reserves.
+ Creating effective working relationships within and outside
the Accounting department.
Within first 6 months:
+ Develop a conceptual specification of the ?next level?
systems, jointly with the Chief Financial Officer and Manufacturing
Executives of the three focused-factories.
Within 12 months:
+ Develop detailed specification and the associated schedules
for a ?next level? systems for one of the factories.
+ Bachelor of Science in Accounting with at least five years of
experience as a Senior Cost Accountant in an organization that has
been oriented to develop advanced manufacturing and product costing
systems and procedures.
+ Exceptional quantitative analysis, critical thinking and
problem-solving skills, with a successful track record of finding
new efficiencies and automating existing processes to provide
on-line visibility of inventory and cost of sales data, improve
product costing information, and eliminate rework and waste,
including the elimination of manual inputting, processing,
reconciling, correcting, and a lot if not all of the other
+ Recent experience working in advanced, innovative and/or
cutting edge manufacturing processes, with the ability to develop,
automate and integrate systems, including the integration of
machines to process/work systems.
+ Position requires extensive experience with computer-based
manufacturing and accounting applications, and advanced skills in
Microsoft Excel, including macros, pivots/charts, and financial
