Job DescriptionSoftware EngineerThe Software Engineer will perform software development activities as a member of an agile development team. Development includes turning agile stories into implementable concepts, followed by development, testing, and deployment of new capabilities in a complex system. Following the BDD pattern, developers are responsible for implementing robust testing leveraging DEVOPS automation and commercial test automation tools where appropriate. Opportunities include server-side business logic, client web application, and UI development. Technologies involved include Java, Python, embedded C/C++, Java cryptographic frameworks, XML, web UI, and special purpose device programming.Primary ResponsibilitiesThe Software Engineer will be responsible for software development both individually and within an agile team. Responsibilities include participating in program increment planning, analyzing complex system requirements, using design tools and formal specifications, promoting code reuse, and managing software processes. The role involves engineering, authoring, tuning, and documenting automation scripts, and deploying them to test or production environments.Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Experience with Java is mandatory.
• Familiarity with Java/JEE, Python, C/C++, SQL, SOAP, WSDL, WADL, PERL, PowerShell, VBS, Eclipse, Postgres, Oracle, Jenkins.
• Web application UI development experience, knowledge of databases, JSON, HTML, XML, XSLT.
• Experience with cryptographic systems (symmetric/asymmetric cryptography, ASN.1, digital signatures).
• Experience on Windows and/or Linux platforms.
• Documented professional experience with web services.
• Strong understanding of sound software development principles.
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and communicate effectively.
• Independent thinker capable of high-quality work in fast-paced environments.Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience with JEE, application servers, scripting, requirements management, secure systems engineering, and Agile practices like TDD, Pair Programming, etc.
  • Experience with tools like FITNesse, Mockito, Cucumber, Selenium, UFT, and knowledge of SAFe methodology.
  • Additional experience with J2EE, Python, C/C++, SQL, SOAP, Postgres, Oracle, MongoDB, PowerShell is a plus.
