Job Title: Senior Associate Softgoods Product Developer Location: San Marcos, CA Salary Range: $75K to $94K plus bonus eligibility Position Summary: Responsible for the product development of all softgoods in the Scotty Cameron product line. Collaborate in design elements of new products with the Scotty Cameron Accessories Manager. Responsible for all phases of product development from the initial design concepts through to the final production, delivery, and fulfillment. Qualifications/Required Experience: Bachelors' Degree is required. One (1) to three (3) years of experience in a consumer goods product development / design is required. Prior experience product buying is also preferable. Experience working with design specifications of Logos and Logo placement on apparel and specialty products. Prior experience with international shipping regulations is preferred. Visual Merchandising experience is preferred. Must be able to sit for extended length of time. High level knowledge of costing and negotiation, forecasting, manufacturing. Network of proven supplier relationships is preferred. Must be able to manage multiple development projects, across several categories. Understanding specific testing requirements as they pertain to apparel & accessory products. Proficiency in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Power Point). Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate softgoods product development with an emphasis of integrating new product design elements. Works with management direction to manage the communication process action items, schedules, and deliverables of new product development projects from design to delivery. Actively participates in all Design Meetings and collaborates with vendors, suppliers on requirements from meetings and to facilitate design and development of new products. Identify sourcing options for all products / styles with consideration for volume, technique, fabrication, and cost. Oversee selection of apparel logo's including style, logo placement and packaging. Defers to Accessory Manager for final approval and changes to all products. Coordinate color development and approval. Continually look for innovative and unique products that meet the emerging needs of customers. Develop costing sheets for all components and finished product. Manage Purchase Orders, vendor relationships and shipping options/solutions. Anticipate and intervene challenges to the development, timing of deadlines and production in order to address and avoid delays to the process and calendar while ensuring quality, cost efficient product. Accountable for the timely adherence of calendar dates. Responsible for the establishment and oversight of the annual master product launch schedule for all special projects and standard product launches. Responsible to monitor current status against target dates to ensure "in hand" dates of all product / projects are met. Responsible for active management of schedule to include anticipating at risk target dates and the related problem resolution and communication to management of any and all at risk instances. Initiate solutions to problems and follow through on all facets of product development through to completion, working within the Cameron business and Acushnet company at large to identify resolutions. Act as liaison between customer service and fulfillment center. Writes product descriptions and assists with photography as needed. Responsible for providing guidance and instruction for receiving of shipment and receiving of specialty international goods.
