Job Title: Registered NurseSan Marcos Consolidated ISD is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team as a School Health Services Coordinator. This is a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the health and well-being of our students.Job Summary:The School Health Services Coordinator will be responsible for providing comprehensive health services to students, including health screenings, medication administration, and health education. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and school staff.Key Responsibilities:

• Provide health screenings and assessments to students, including vision, hearing, and height and weight checks
• Administer medications to students as prescribed by parents or physicians
• Develop and implement health education programs for students and parents
• Collaborate with school staff to identify and address health-related issues
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records for students
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student health issues
• Participate in school safety and emergency response planningRequirements:
  • Current Texas RN license
  • Experience working in a school setting or with children
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of electronic health recordsWorking Conditions:The School Health Services Coordinator will work in a school setting, with frequent interactions with students, parents, and school staff.
