Our compensation for this role depends on skillset, experience, licensure and typically falls between $16.30--and $40.00--plus--on-call pay and bonus.Veterinary Assistant: $16.30 - $26.00Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT): $24.00 - $35.00Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS): $31.00 - $40.00Schedule: Monday - Friday, Five 8-hour shiftsNorth County Pharmacy Supply Technician to join the pharmacy team in San Marcos, California.About the Job: The primary responsibilities of the Pharmacy Supply Technician are to assist our supply chain coordinator and the Pharmacy department. The incumbent must perform all tasks safely, consistent with state, federal & state pharmaceutical laws.Assist in inventory management, including order review, returns, restocking shelves, and physical inventory preparation. Perform computer entry of prescription information including but not limited to patient search, prescriber search, drug selection, prescription interpretation & entry, insurance billing, and essential problem resolution.Accept customer and prescription information required to process new and refill prescriptions, including refill authorization from doctor offices where permitted by state law.Retrieve the appropriate medication from inventory where permitted by state law.Create prescription labels and put them on prescription containers where permitted by state law.Place medication into prescription containers where permitted by state law.Complete paperwork related to filling prescriptions and input customer and prescription data into the computer system where permitted by law.Assist with maintaining the Pharmacy department by keeping it clean and in order.Reconstitute oral liquids where permitted by state law.Relay medication information and answer client medication questions using excellent customer service skills.About You:High School diploma or equivalent required, plus 600 practical hours working in retail and/or pharmacy operations; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Current RVT or VASCP license required.Minimum of 2 years experience in retail pharmacy, veterinary medicine preferredMust have the ability to work independently in a fast pace environment.Previous work experience with the Cubex system is a benefit but not required.--Benefits of Working at Veterinary Specialty Hospital:Full-time benefits include health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, flex spending accounts, 401(k), Employee Assistance Program, paid time off, uniforms, and a generous CE allowance.Ethos is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
