TrueCare Nurse Practitioner-Psych BHMental Health Nurse Practitioner Needed for Growing Community ClinicThe Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) is responsible for providing culturally sensitive, effective and high quality mental health care to patients of the health center. The PMHNP is also responsible for providing medication evaluation, medication management, crisis intervention, individual and group therapy and case management services to clients, as part of a multi-disciplinary team.Essential functions of the role includePatient Intake and assessmentProvide patient educationProvide integrated mental health services in the primary care settingRequired Qualifications & LicensureMaster of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree.Minimum one (1) year of relevant professional experience in the psychiatric field working with a variety of mental health conditions.Current knowledge of drug and treatment protocols common to ambulatory care.Computer proficiency, particularly with Electronic Health/Medical Record systems and the Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Current and unrestricted California Nurse Practitioner LicenseBoard of Registered Nurses Certification Furnishing Number issued by California Board of Registered NursingCurrent and unrestricted Controlled Substances Registration Certificate from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)Preferred QualificationsDoctorate in Nursing.Bilingual in English and Spanish (may be required at some clinics).Knowledge of Trauma Informed Care principles.Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certification by an accredited professional nursing organization such as the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for Healthcare ProvidersValid California Driver's License, proof of auto liability insurance and clean driving record For almost 50 years, TrueCare has put our communities' health first.
