we are seeking a Manager of Inventory Control Purchasing for our
Industrial Division. Position Purpose:Working under general
direction of the Executive Director of Industrial Operations, this
position carries primary responsibility for all activities related
to leading the team performing purchasing of materials and
supplies. - This includes all activities related to supply chain
management to ensure consistent delivery of goods and services
while removing constraints to achieve this. - This position is also
responsible for providing leadership to the Planning, Stockroom,
Warehouse and Receiving/Shipping Departments. - (Please note, this
is not a remote work opportunity. - On-site presence is
required.)Essential Job Functions (primary duties and outputs of
position)
Initiate cost reductions through
supplier management, efficient sourcing, contract negotiation,
pricing, timelines, standardization of material and value analysis.
Establish long-term procurement strategies and agreements to assure
continuous supply and timely procurement of materials.Coordinating
with planning, and inventory control to manage inventory
requirements.Develop and maintain a variety of metrics utilizing
ERP system to include supplier scorecard, OTD of purchasing
activities, annual inventory turns per factory, PPV, cost reduction
outcomes, and other supplier metrics such as quality.Lead supplier
development activities which are aligned with company goals and
objectives for innovation, quality, delivery, cost, lead times, and
inventory management.Develop supplier's capabilities and manage
supplier performance.Ensure inventory management and inventory
control processes including cycle counting, overall inventory
accuracy, and inventory analysis are performed. - Provide
leadership and direction as necessary to Shipping, Receiving, and
Stockroom Departments. - Interact effectively with leadership in
other departments to facilitate operations and resolve problems
with an emphasis on meeting company goals.Maintain required
documentation including insuring compliance with procurement
conflict of interest, regulatory and other related compliance
activities.Safety
Follow safe work practices,
participate in safety training as required, and report any unsafe
condition or accident. Quality
- Employees are responsible to understand and support the quality
policy and the appropriate elements of the quality management
system for their areas of work, reduce, eliminate, and prevent
quality deficiencies including escapes.
- Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities
related to product, process, and quality system.

quality deficiencies, elevate any concerns for action within or
related to our quality system and processes.Communication
Communicate effectively in English,
both verbally and in writing.Maintain effective and constructive
working relationships with others both internally and externally.
Education/Work Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, materials management or related
discipline.
- Seven years in a Purchasing Department with increasing
operational experience, including three years in a supervisory or
managerial role. - Experience in a manufacturing environment
preferred.
- Strategic perspective with an aptitude for continuous
improvement.
- Strong leadership skills including developing employee
capabilities.
- Strong critical thinking and negotiation skills.
- Deep knowledge and aptitude of inventory and supply chain
management.
- Strong knowledge of business systems including inventory
purchasing and MRP applications.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Highly proficient in MS Office Suite including Excel and
Outlook.
- Understanding of Kanban processes.
- Experience in Lean manufacturing (JIT) and/or Deming philosophy
preferred.Physical/Travel Requirements
This position requires being able to
sit and perform computer work for up to 75% of the time. - Standing
and walking may be required up to 30% of the time. - Position may
be required to lift up to 35 lbs. - Position may require some
domestic travel.Pay Range: - $105,000.00 to $140,000.00
annualCompensation may vary based on related skills, experience,
and relevant key attributes.These duties may be modified or changed
