Job Description:

The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for establishing, implementing and maintaining the quality system for Thermon in the San Marcos (TX) location. Additional locations that are covered under the QA scope are Houston (TX) ,Baton Rouge (LA) and our Global Engineering Centre in Mumbai (India) The QA manager is responsible for delegating responsibility for activities regarding quality management and ensures that the internal audit team is properly trained. The Quality Manager sets the internal audit schedule and conditions for internal audits and conducts internal audits when required. The QA Manager is responsible for overseeing external audits of the quality system by 3rd parties and act as the primary point of contact for questions about the Quality Assurance program.. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities - Willingness and ability to adapt Thermon's Care, Commit, and Collaborate culture - Lead and mentor a team of quality professionals - Making available the resources and qualified personnel necessary for evaluation and maintenance of the quality program;

  • Communicating to the organization the importance of meeting customer as well as statutory and regulatory requirements. Promotes and maintains awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization
  • Reviewing the quality program regularly with the goal of continually improving its effectiveness and enhancing customer satisfaction by meeting customer requirements
  • Ensures that the QMS complies with ISO 9001:2015 Standard and ISO/IEC 80079-34.
  • Ensures that Management Review is done on the QMS for effectiveness, continuing suitability, addressing risk and need for continual improvement.
  • Reports to top management on the performance and any need for improvement to the quality management system;
  • Maintaining an effective internal quality audit containing elements of the QMS pertaining to ISO/IEC/CE (ATEX) & other relevant standards.
  • Ensure the quality management system is current and applicable. Verify that policies, procedures and government requirements are enforced.
  • Maintain quality records and reports for audits, calibration, corrective actions, customer complaints, RMAs, nonconformance, contract reviews, test and inspection reports, quality manual distribution, test certificates, material certifications, vendor quality history and other necessary quality related records and reports
  • Overseeing documents & records and ensuring control is maintained. Including corrective actions and non-conforming records are maintained. - Work closely with Manufacturing Operations, Engineering, and R&D functional organizations to execute on various projects - Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies - Act as a key liaison for internal and external stakeholders Key Characteristics, Competences and Skills Builds Effective Teams: Blends people into teams and inspires them to perform; creates strong morale and spirit in his/her team; shares wins and successes; fosters open dialogue; lets people finish and be responsible for their work; defines success in terms of the whole team; creates a feeling of belonging in the team.     • Minimum of five years related experience
    • University Certificate or Diploma in industry related field
    • Good computer background and ability to use business applications
    • Technical background and ability to understand technical concepts
