Job Description:
Position Summary The Director of Philanthropy is responsible for
the execution of planned TrueCare fundraising including, annual
giving program, special events and campaigns as directed by the VP
Government and Community Affairs. This includes diversifying and
increasing funding through building relationships with individual
donors, foundations, and corporate funders.Essential Functions
Develop and implement an annual fundraising plan, in consultation
with the VP Government and Community Affairs, with attainable goals
and benchmarks and monitor throughout year.Manage the planning and
execution of the annual fundraising plan by developing/sending mass
mailings, crafting ask letters, segmenting donor lists, social
media outreach, etc.Provide detailed reports about fundraising
progress against goals on a regular basis.Maintain existing
relationships and develop new relationships with donors, sponsors,
businesses, foundation representatives and others to nurture their
connection to the organization.Develop and maintain a portfolio of
key major donors to cultivate and solicit, as well as provide
direct support to the VP Government and Community Affairs in the
development and maintenance of their own portfolio for cultivation
and solicitation.Develop an annual donor communication plan to
ensure regular and meaningful communications throughout the
year.Work collaboratively and creatively with the Director,
Marketing and Communications to appropriately position development
opportunities and integrate messages in publications, reports, and
collateral materials for cultivating and stewarding donors.Develop
and implement a stewardship program aimed at cultivating deeper
ties with donors.Oversee management of gift processing and donor
acknowledgement, the donor database, and financial reporting.Ensure
proper recording of all contacts with prospects and the appropriate
gift acknowledgement and stewardship of assigned donors.Oversee the
organization and execution of events that support the annual
fundraising plan.Research funding sources and trends to help
position TrueCare ahead of major funding changes or trends. Job
Requirements Bachelor's degree in business, marketing,
communication or in a related field, or the equivalent in work
experience.Five (5) or more years of professional development and
fundraising experience with foundations, individuals, corporations,
and other sources.At least three (3) years of managerial
experience.Knowledge of donor retention strategies.Computer
proficiency with donor databases, Constant Contact and Microsoft
Office products, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Nice to Have
Experience with nonprofit development programs Experience using
social media for fundraising and donor cultivation. TrueCare
