The VOLUNTEER i9 SPORTS COACH AND OFFICIAL i s a critical role in any sports field; responsible for teaching the fundamentals about the game, rules, sportsmanship values while also cultivating a positive culture, taking on the responsibility of an on-field coach, and advocating for the teaching kids life missions through the programs. This role has a direct impact on players, and spectators each and every game day. Responsibilities Understand & enforce the i9 Sports rules books ensuring a fun, learning, and safety for all players Teach & demonstrate core concepts including Sportsmanship values Keep time and score during the game; manage an age-appropriate level of instruction and competition Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude and superior customer service skills Cover coaching for volunteer coaches who don't show up at the assigned time Report to the respective Sports CoordinatorS and Site Managers You feel good bringing happiness and joy to others and love to be a positive influence in families lives Qualifications Verbal & communication skills Sport-specific officiating, playing, or coaching experience Highly motivated self-starter; can work independently, solve problems and be proactive Awareness & ability to take charge of any situation to ensure the safety of players Positive attitude and a strong ability to build professional relationships Ability to work every Saturday 9-12:30PM Must be able to pass a National Criminal Background Check WHAT YOU GET IF HIRED: Work with the largest youth sports provider in the country Help to develop kids confidence and gaining love for the sport Start a career in sports Get real-life professional hands-on training in communication, business, athletics and overall working with people Learning multiple sports through our training program designed by the USA Olympic committee, Nike, USA Football & the NBA Clippers Fun environment, fun culture with other program directors, area managers and site coordinators Owners that care for employee growth into management and leadership roles Career growth track and promotions available with time and performance Work for an Awesome team with no politics, level headed and professional individuals all good vibes and for the love of the game and kid development! THE OWNERS ARE VERY OPEN AND ACCEPTING OF STUDENTS, ADULTS, YOUNG TEENS AND ANYONE WHO WANTS TO HAVE A POSITIVE EFFECT ON A KIDS LIFE. YOU WILL RECEIVE GIFT CARDS, FOOD, LOTS OF KUDOS FROM PARENTS AND KIDS AS WELL AS VOLUNTEER CREDIT OR INTERNSHIPS GIVEN IN THE FORM OF LETTER OF RECOMMENDATIONS.
