Department/School Ingram School of Engineering Position Description
The Ingram School of Engineering of Texas State University has
launched a new Mechanical Engineering program that incorporates
Industry 4.0 tools and technologies throughout the curriculum to
prepare students who can design and develop mechanical and thermal
systems that are intelligent, interconnected, and integrated with
the virtual world and emerging digital infrastructures. Currently,
the program seeks to fill a non-tenure line position of faculty of
practice in solid mechanics at the Assistant Professor of Practice
or Associate Professor of Practice level to begin Fall 2023. The
successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate solid
mechanics laboratories, undergraduate courses in engineering
mechanics, solid mechanics, and machine design, and senior-level
capstone design courses. The successful applicant will receive the
appropriate rank and title based on university and school
