TrueCareThe Staff Accountant is responsible for performing complex professional accounting duties, ensuring integrity, compliance, and effectively controlling financial accounting information by recording, documenting, reporting, and analyzing transactions. Duties include accounts receivable, disbursements, tax, general ledger, depreciation, and management reporting. The Staff Accountant also performs difficult accounting functions such as examination, maintenance, reconciliation and verification of financial records, and performing related work as required with only occasional instruction, and general supervision. The Staff Accountant occasionally assists with payroll processing to cover during vacation breaks for the Payroll Specialist.Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, -OR- Four (4) years of professional staff accounting experience.
• Two (2 years) minimum of work experience as a Staff Accountant (recording financial transactions, reviewing financial statements, evaluating accounting systems, calculating tax liability, and recommending accounting best practices).
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to interpret and apply advanced accounting knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP).
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office suite products with advanced level knowledge of Excel (ability to do pivot tables and V lookups, etc.).
